Another song, should I even proceed?
John and Paul have got me beat
Lyrically, anything I can dream up
Fat Mike has done more cleverly
I'm just a hack and that's all I'll ever be
As evidenced by this melody
Short and to the point:
I'd like to anoint myself
King of the middling
Lord of mediocrity
I play guitar like Jimmy Page sings
I only use the top strings
But I’ve been told I have exceptional taste
In Creed songs and Kenny G
My work's hackneyed and that's all it'll ever be
As evidence? This soliloquy
Short and to the point:
I'd like to anoint myself
King of the middling
Lord of mediocrity
Earl of inadequacy
The Marquis of mundanity
The Baron of banality

Coming back to punk rock after spending a lot of time away listening to other things made this extremely hard hitting and fresh. McCaughan's poetic lyricsm in Sundowner shines through in this release. Somehow Metropole didn't hit me like most, but I can see how "You Are Here" was a precursor to one of my favorite records to come. Shaughn Martel
Pitch-perfect math rock from Kaneohe, Hawaii charges forward on raw, ragged emotion. A treat for fans of Polvo and Pardoner. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 27, 2018

This might be the best melodic punk album from top to bottom... ever.
Recently discovered The Bombpops. They are a revelation.
There is not a bad track on this album. There is not even an average track. Every song rocks. I normally have two to four songs from most albums that make it to the list of "great songs that I could listen to endlessly". I can put every song on this album on that list. zenmasterj
