While we've been away
Three presidents have been sworn
Five kiddos got born
With two sets of twins
And all of 'em boys
Call us Diesel Dads
Our beards have gone grey
And I moved away
Why so long to write another dozen songs?
We were busy
Is it a reunion
If no one cared we were gone or that we're back?
Call it a new dawn
A silver age
A lost decade and some change
We sold our beloved van
Some of us joined new bands
Marriages and mortgages
Oh, and we found Topher and Chad
Call us a tribute act
Traded life on the road
For making corporate dough (sellout!)
Surprise! It's time for us to rise from the ashes
Is it a reunion
If no one cared we were gone or that we're back?
Call it a new dawn
A silver age
A lost decade and some change
Maybe we've still got a bit of rage
Nah, we were never wired that way
Maybe we're out of touch
Maybe we've still got some bad puns in us
Maybe I should just shut up
Coming back to punk rock after spending a lot of time away listening to other things made this extremely hard hitting and fresh. McCaughan's poetic lyricsm in Sundowner shines through in this release. Somehow Metropole didn't hit me like most, but I can see how "You Are Here" was a precursor to one of my favorite records to come. Shaughn Martel
Pitch-perfect math rock from Kaneohe, Hawaii charges forward on raw, ragged emotion. A treat for fans of Polvo and Pardoner. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 27, 2018
Taking cues from Midwestern emo and early ’10 pop punk, this Leeds, UK outfit are full of heart— not to mention hooks. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 21, 2022
This might be the best melodic punk album from top to bottom... ever.
Recently discovered The Bombpops. They are a revelation.
There is not a bad track on this album. There is not even an average track. Every song rocks. I normally have two to four songs from most albums that make it to the list of "great songs that I could listen to endlessly". I can put every song on this album on that list. zenmasterj
